Nimble FLY
spoke tool
The Nimble FLYTM uses a special inverted nipple hidden in the
rim. This tool allows access to this nipple for wheel building or
maintenance. Please note that Spider also comes in a
configuration with hidden nipples that uses a different nipple and custom
tool (also see Spider aero tool, and
spoke).
Wheel builders please note the special attention needed. When inserting tool, rotate to align with nipple head and insert completely to base of nipple. Incomplete insertion may hurt nipple head and make truing difficult. FLY spokes have 110 kg tension (on the highest tensioned spoke). To avoid instable truing due to wind up of the thin gauge FLY spokes, it is important to hold the spoke while turning the nipple in tension.
